Wythenshawe · M22–M23
Plenty of Wythenshawe semis still have a lawn out front and nowhere to park. We turn them into hard-wearing drives at a fair price.
M22 & M23 · Wythenshawe
Wythenshawe was built as a garden-city estate, so most houses have a decent front garden and a grass verge to the road. That's great for space, but it means many homes still park on the street. Converting the garden into a drive is one of the most common jobs we quote in M22 and M23.
Tarmac is a popular choice here because it's hard-wearing and good value per square metre, finished with block-paved edging to keep it neat. Block paving and stabilised gravel are good options too, and we build in drainage so water runs to a border or soakaway, not the pavement.
If you need a dropped kerb across the verge, it has to be approved by Manchester City Council first. We'll explain the process and plan the drive so it lines up with where the crossing will go.

Usually, yes. You'll need a dropped kerb approved by Manchester City Council if there isn't one, and the surface should drain to your own garden or be permeable. We check both at the survey before quoting.
Most single-car to two-car tarmac drives take two to four days, including digging out, laying a compacted sub-base, edging and the tarmac surface. You can usually drive on it within a day or two of finishing.
All of it, including Northenden, Benchill, Baguley, Sharston, Woodhouse Park, Peel Hall and Brooklands.
