Davenport's Edwardian and 1930s semis along Bramhall Lane, Garners Lane and the roads near Davenport station often have block paving that's 15 or 20 years old. The base is fine — it just looks tired, with moss in the joints and faded colours.
For those drives we jet wash the surface, lift and relay any sunken or broken blocks, re-fill the joints with fresh kiln-dried sand and finish with a sealant. It costs a fraction of a new drive and makes a big difference.
If the drive is past saving, we'll say so and quote for a new one — block paving, resin or tarmac — laid on a properly built base.

Is it worth cleaning and sealing an old block-paved drive?
Often, yes. If the base is sound, a jet wash, re-sand, a few repairs and a seal can make it look close to new for far less than replacing it.
Will jet washing damage my block paving?
Not when done properly. We use the right pressure and a surface cleaner, then replace the joint sand that washes out.
