Resin
What affects the cost of a resin driveway?

It's natural to want a ballpark figure, but online 'price per square metre' numbers rarely tell the full story. What sits under the surface, how easy the site is to work on and the finish you choose all change the price. That's why we always quote after a free survey.
Here are the main things that affect what you'll pay.
Size and shape
The overall area is the starting point, but shape matters too. Curves, steps, narrow strips and lots of edges take more time to form and finish than a simple rectangle.
Groundwork and the existing surface
Can the existing surface be used as a base, or does it need digging out? Excavation, removing old concrete or flags and disposing of waste are often the biggest variables. Our quotes include excavation, preparation and removal of all waste, so there are no hidden extras.
The base
Resin needs a sound, suitable base. Building a new sub-base and porous base layer costs more than overlaying a sound existing one — but it's what makes the drive last.
Aggregate and resin choice
Different stone blends and UV-stable resins vary in cost. Your choice of colour and texture can nudge the price up or down.
Edging, drainage and extras
Block-paved borders, channel drains, steps, kerbs and lighting all add to the scope. They also add a lot to the finished look and function.
Access
Easy access for materials and equipment keeps things simple. Tight terraced streets or rear gardens with no side access take more time.
